Hall Hire of King’s Church Hall

Terms & Conditions

Payment;

    1. For one-off bookings, all hall-hire fees and the deposit must be paid for in advance otherwise the booking will not go ahead.
    2. For a Series of bookings (min. 8 meetings) or Regular hall hire, the first four payments must be made weekly (in arrears).  After that, monthly payment (in arrears) is acceptable.

Cleaning; Any rooms that are used must be left in a reasonable state of cleanliness. Cleaning equipment is available, if required.  If the room is left in an unacceptable condition, a cleaning fee may be applied. This fee will represent the time required for a cleaner to bring the room back to an acceptable condition.

Pots, Chairs, Tables; Any pots used must be washed, dried and put away in the right place. All chairs must be stacked in the appropriate places, with stacks of not more than 5 chairs high.   All tables must be folded down and replaced in their storage area.

Tea and Coffee; Use of the church kettle and cups is free. If you make tea, coffee or other refreshments, you must bring all of your own items (including coffee, tea, juice, milk & sugar, etc). You must also take away them away again at the end. Rubbish; All rubbish from your group must be collected and taken away.

Electric appliances & Water; Any electrical appliances used must be turned off (heaters, lights, TV/DVD, sound system, etc). All taps must also be checked to ensure they are turned off, including in the toilets.

Health & Safety; Whilst we make every effort to make sure that the hall, garden and all the equipment in it are safe and in safe, working condition, it is your responsibility to notify us immediately of anything you find that is broken or that you consider unsafe.  All such matters should be reported to the church office.

Breakages; Any breakages should be reported to the caretaker, the office or to John Beynon. All breakages must be paid for at the replacement price.

Theft; You are responsible to ensure that no-one from your group steals anything whilst on our premises. You will be liable for any thefts that occur during your group usage.

Advertising; If groups want to use our notice boards to advertise their activities, whether by displaying posters on our notice board or by leaving flyers within the building, they must get permission to do so from the Church Office. We do not allow the use of our church logo, or any wording on advertising material that wrongly gives the impression that the activity is organised by King’s Church.

Bookings; Bookings must be made with the office of the Church in advance by completing the application form

Cancellations; If you cancel a booking, you are still liable to pay unless you have let us know at least one day before-hand.

Termination: The contract between us may be terminated by one month’s written notice from either side.
